Named after the main character in Ernest Hemingway’s ‘Old Man and the Sea,’ this is a spot everything an exhausted fisherman would want: warm atmosphere, a cold drink and food to comfort the soul.
As the story goes, Santiago set sail on a three-day journey to catch the biggest fish of his life, only to have it mauled to a carcass by sharks upon reaching shore.
Coincidence or not, the restaurant set to open mid-March of 2020 suffered a similar plight when a world pandemic forced the restaurant industry to shut down before we could open.
And so, our story is just beginning. We don’t know the end yet, but we certainly know the character of the name.
